The average flight time from the UK to the Maldives is approximately 10–11 hours on a direct flight. Direct services are available from London Heathrow and London Gatwick to Velana International Airport (Malé), making the Maldives a convenient long-haul holiday destination for UK travellers.

The Maldives, a visa is not required in advance for most tourists. Travellers of all nationalities can generally receive a tourist visa on arrival for up to 30 days, provided they meet the Maldives’ entry requirements. Your passport should be valid for at least one month from the date of arrival, and you may need proof of onward travel, a confirmed booking, and sufficient funds for your stay.
